About The Practitioner
I received my B.A. in Sociology from the University of Nebraska, and my J.D. from The American University School of Law. After 16 years of law practice, I retired to pursue my life-long interest in medicine and healing. I received my Master of Acupuncture degree after 3 years of study at The Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now Maryland University for Integrative Health) in Columbia, MD.
I am licensed by the Board of Medicine to practice acupuncture in Virginia, and am Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Council for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Since my graduation in 1998, I have continued to deepen my study of acupuncture and classical Chinese medicine through a variety of continuing education programs, particularly focusing on a classical Five Element approach through study with Master Practitioner, Niki Bilton (CA) and with TCM Master Practitioners Giovanni Maccioccia, Alex Tiberi, and Jeffrey Yuen.
